Drink no wine before its time, finish no assignment until it is due!
Christmas in Berlin with all the aunts, uncles, cousins and Grandma in her red velvet Santa dress.
Fishing with Great Uncle Henry in Minnesota and watching Great Aunt Esther make cake from scratch.
Playing with the Fitzgerald kids on their farm outside of St. Paul, they had such great imagination!
Hunting pheasant around Bowman with Uncle Buzz. Dancing with Aunt Harriet at a school dance in Bowman.
Hiking and fishing in Montana with Aunt Hazel, she taught me a poem:
Mary had a little lamb
She tied him to a heater.
Every time he turned around
He burned his little seater!

I recited that poem in first grade, didn't get in trouble, but sure embarrassed my Mom.
Gopher hunting with Uncle Blaine, eating anything that Aunt Audrey cooked! Who remembers their home made ice cream?
Watching Senator Young interact with the men at Great Uncle Elmer's funeral.
Family picnics at the river park near Grand Rapids.
Do you know who the three oldest grandchildren are (in order)?
Do you know how many of us ever sat on Grandpa John's lap (who are they)?
Love from Texas,
John
